Magdalene Abraha – Editorial Manager at Jacaranda Books

Magdalene is a writer and publisher. She was voted the Bookseller’s Rising Star list 2019. Magdalene was also awarded the LBF Trailblazer award 2020 for her contribution to publishing. Magdalene Abraha started her career in journalism and was one of the youngest columnists for the Independent newspaper before writing for multiple magazine and newspapers. Magdalene worked at senior roles in publishing houses such as I.B Tauris and Bloomsbury publishers, she now heads up the non-fiction list at Jacaranda. Magdalene Abraha is also the creator of the new ‘ground breaking’ book series called A Quick Ting On which will be the first non-fiction book series dedicated to black British culture. She continues to write.
