I am an Editorial Assistant at John Murray Press, mostly working on serious and smart-thinking non-fiction books on the John Murray and Basic Books imprints. I previously interned at the leading indie publisher of Caribbean and Black British Literature, Peepal Tree Press, and the renowned 4th Estate and William Collins at HarperCollins, the British publishers of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. I am extremely passionate about African and Afro-diasporic literature of all genres in particular works which push the boundaries of form and style and tell bold stories in fiction and non-fiction. This is what I hope to commission in the near future. I am thrilled to be part of the BAE network and to have the opportunity to learn, collaborate and share resources and ideas with fellow like-minded book lovers and publishing professionals across the industry with similar ethnic and cultural heritages to mine.
